Effective October 7, 2026 · Kit Home Inc.

Kit Home Inc. ("Kit Home", "we", "us") remodels single family homes in the San Francisco Bay Area. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit kithome.ai, contact us, or become a client, and how we use it. We keep it short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to us at hello@kithome.ai.

What we collect

What you give us. When you fill in the Get in touch card, join a waitlist, or sign a contract, we collect what you type: your name, email address, phone number, zip code or property address, the rooms you want to remodel, a rough budget, and any notes. Clients also share floor plans, photos of their home, design selections and payment details.

What your device tells us. Like most websites we receive your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open and the time you spend on them, and the page that sent you here.

What we gather for your project. To price and permit a remodel we may pull public property records, prior permit history and parcel information for the address you give us, and we take measurements, laser scans and photos during the walkthrough.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your request, prepare a written quote, render your rooms, schedule the walkthrough and the work, file permits, run your client portal, send schedule updates and daily site photos, invoice you, honor the warranty, and keep our own records in order.

We also use site data in aggregate to see which pages help visitors and which do not. We do not sell your information and we do not run advertising on your data.

Texting

If you choose Text as your preferred channel, we will text you about your request and, once you are a client, about your project: scheduling, deliveries, questions from the crew. Message frequency varies with the stage of your project. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Mobile numbers and texting consent are never shared with third parties for their marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only where the project needs it: our partner architect and structural engineer (drawings and permit sets), the city or county building department (permit applications), material suppliers and installers (delivery addresses and selections), and the companies that run our email, texting, payments, hosting and client portal on our behalf. Each is bound to use your information only for the work we hire them to do.

We will also share information when the law requires it, to protect our crew or our clients from harm, or if Kit Home is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Cookies and analytics

kithome.ai uses a small number of cookies: one to remember your language choice, one to keep you signed in to the client portal, and privacy respecting analytics that count visits without building a profile of you. Our contact form uses an invisible spam check instead of a visible puzzle; it looks at browser signals, not at who you are. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work, but the portal will ask you to sign in again.

Your choices and California rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Where we need some of it to finish a project under contract, honor a warranty or meet a legal duty (contractor records, for example, must be kept for several years), we will tell you what we have to keep and why.

California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, plus the right not to be treated differently for using them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

To make a request, email hello@kithome.ai from the address on your project, or ask your project lead. We confirm within 10 days and answer within 45. You can name someone to make the request for you; we will ask for proof that you authorized them.

How long we keep it

If you contact us and we do not end up working together, we delete your request within 24 months. Project records, drawings, permits, contracts and warranty files are kept for as long as California contractor law and our warranty require, then deleted. Site analytics are kept in aggregate only.

Security

Your information travels encrypted, sits with providers we audit, and is open only to the people on your project. No system is perfect; if something ever goes wrong with your data, we will tell you promptly and plainly.

Children

Our site and services are for adults who own or are buying a home. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will email you before it takes effect.
